Monster Duels is a game for betting on Phoenixdex fakemon.

Monster Duels uses a currency called dueldimes which were worth 10 cents each at the time of launch, but grow in value over time as the supply decreases when players bet on battles. Payouts on each battle are 99% of the total bets and the remaining 1% is burned, reducing the supply of dueldimes in order to grow the value of each dueldime.

Monster Duels is a decentralized open source game powered by the PolyCash software and running on the Datachain blockchain. You can download and run Monster Duels on your own computer or play on MonsterDuels.com.

One battle between 8 fakemon is held every hour. After betting ends, the battle begins and fakemon take turns randomly selecting an opponent and doing random damage - up to 47 damage per attack. Fakemon are eliminated when their HP reaches zero and the battle continues until one fakemon remains, winning the battle, and everyone who bet on the winner gets paid out.  The likelihood of a fakemon winning is entirely determined by their HP (health points).  Fakemon with higher HP are more likely to win but have lower payouts while fakemon with lower HP are less likely to win but have higher rewards for winning bets.
